Back by popular demand! This isn’t the beef stroganoff that you grew up with….or at least that I grew up with! There are things my mother cooks extremely well, and her beef stroganoff and lasagna are NOT on the list. (Sorry, Mom!! ❤️)
Gosh, I used to DREAD stroganoff like no other, and thought it was just pure EVIL. 😳🤣😩….until I went to culinary school and learned what a true stroganoff is supposed to be! And I, of course, make mine with my own twists and additions and exactly how I think it should be enjoyed! ❤️🪴🌶️ Beef stroganoff. It’s a little bit Hungarian. A little bit Russian. A little bit German. A little bit Swedish. And a LOT…Renee. 🌶️
Tender steak morsels, perfectly marinated in Hungarian sweet and hot paprikas seared to perfection, in a perfectly savory sauce of fresh herbs, porcini and cremini mushrooms, beef stock, special seasonings, and fresh cream. Served with a side of my homemade German spaetzle (a cross between a tiny drop-sized dumpling and a homemade egg noodle…a true labor of love in itself 🌟)…perfectly sautéed with shallots and herbs until slightly crispy and fabulous….and seasoned/buttered steamed broccoli. Served with sides of my pickled red onions, Swedish pickled cucumbers, and sour cream to cut the richness and add a bright pop of perfection! Don’t miss this one! 🌟
